It's designed to be very user friendly, and even if you know nothing about interior design, you can play until you've created your very own sample board.
is it free?
Yes! Any one can join Sample Board Online™ unleashing their creative potential. All you have to do is create an account and off you go!
how do i create an account?
On the home page on the top right hand corner there is a ‘create account’ tab. Just fill in your details & email address and you’ll be ready to rock & roll.
can i upload my own personal images?
Yes. Once you've created an account you can upload your personal images such as autoCAD plans saved as jpegs, SketchUp renderings or general pics.
what is a ‘sample board’?
Sample Boards are presented to a client to create the general feeling of the overall interior design project and shows the design materials, furnishings & finishes proposed for the project.Actual design materials (samples) as well as room layouts are generally used in an effort to create the overall feel that will be achieved by the eventual design. It’s also called ‘story boards’.
what is a ‘mood board’?
Designers & Decorators use mood boards to convey the overall look & feel of a project, putting together images and objects which inspire creativity and innovation.
Mood boards are also very useful at the early stages of a project as a guide tool to show to clients for approval before proceeding further. You will note that you have a 'moods' tab in the sbo application. Here you will find various categories with mood images to help create a look & feel and sell your concept with more confidence.

An application is a design tool that enables the designer to design a sample board online whilst specifying a product with all its relevant information ie: technical product information with supplier contact name & number. This application enables the designer to cut out the middle man / procurement agent and gets them using the suppliers product directly by dragging in their chosen image & presenting to their client electronically.

As interior designers by trade we've struggled to find a tool that would help and assist us in a way this website is designed to do. It will eliminate those initial fears of not having the time to source new and funky products as well as guide you to present in a professional manner which we have found lacking in a lot of design companies all over the world. We think the real reason for not being able to present really hot graphic presentations is due to the lack of time we get to prepare and the real reason behind that being the fact that most projects have become extremely cost driven.
So in a nutshell, this website will lift the overall standard of interior design presentations, make design an interactive experience to be shared amongst design teams within a corporate sector and between students working as a team. We want Sample Board Online™ to be an inspiring design tool that will unblock those unproductive dud days and put the spring back in your crazy step!
